「PLAYER QUICK REFERENCE」(sticky)
Okay okay we know, there's a lot of information. It's pretty easy to get lost in all that info, so here's a quick little reference sheet for you players that you can check if you forget what face of Penrose the university is on, or what the conversion of munny to USDollars is.

❏ SETTING INFO
- Penrose is a cube, with six faces: one for each season, one always day, one always night; each face is about a square mile
- all native Penrosians are halflings, averaging about 4'5" in height; most public buildings are scaled accordingly, so watch your head
- Castle face is always day; averages 70° 24 hours; lantern at the center of the face; International district/waterfall to the northeast; deciduous forest to the southeast shared corner with Aestival and Vazante
- Cresca, spring face, averages 72° during the day and 55° overnight; ocean in the southwestern corner shared with Aestival and Trevas; university/library/hospital to the northeast in the garden sector; housing in the northwest
- Aestival, summer face, averages 95° during the day and 73° overnight; about half ocean; has a carnival in the southwest corner; housing to the northeast
- Vazante, autumn face, averages 65° during the day and 40° overnight; about a third of a large mountain is on the western side; housing/brewery to the southwest
- Hibernis, winter face, averages 32° during the day and 09° overnight; about 2/3 of a mountain to the east; housing to the north; mostly unexplored and dangerous caverns/crevasse to the southwest
- Trevas, always night, averages 55° 24 hours; redlight district/casino/bathhouse; food packing/water treatment/recycling; also a small section of the ocean where the face meets Cresca and Aestival
- Penrose is a soft oligarchy, and player characters can get involved with game-changing decisions by gaining Soberan
- remember that your abilities may be affected by the choices you made in your Awakening! the item you discarded may limit your strengths, and the one you chose may give you a boost you didn't have before
- 1 munny = $0.10 USD, 10 munny = $1 USD, 100 munny = $10 USD, 1000 munny = $100 USD, etc
- your Elo works basically like a smartphone
- no accidental posts
- time runs 3:1 in Saudade--three days IRL = one day in-game; you can check the calendar for the current in-game date
- within the Darkness connected with Penrose, there's no differentiation between floor, wall, and ceiling; it's completely black
- except the immediate area around individual people; it's not real big or bright in most cases, think like an aura
- smells and feels like nothing: not warm, not cold, not dry or humid... just nothing
- there's no sound when you walk, or even if you jump up and down, and your voice won't echo
- the 'ground' feels like faintly damp earth, giving only slightly beneath your feet, and only a little bit cooler than the air around you
- any gadgetry you have won't register anything; it would basically tell you that you're in a vacuum
- there are five main NPCs who serve as Finders and general Hand of Mod: Dayane and Mateus, played by Madb, and Iliana, Serafina, and Thiago, played by Kari
- there is also Ana Luiza who does the weather, and Yara, both played by Kari, a generic NPC who comes along on missions
- if you need an NPC for something that isn't game- or mission-changing, you are welcome to assume the role as needed; if you'd like it to be a recurring character others can interact with as well please contact a mod and we'll make it happen
- you are also free to assume roles as needed for general NPCs such as shop owners, waitstaff, etc
- everyone gets free housing for an in-game month upon arrival
- after that you need to get a job
- if you're not sure how much time you have left, you can check your official arrival date against the current in-game day, just add 30 to whatever day you arrived and that's the last day you have free housing
- if you don't see a job that your character is suited for, please suggest one!
- a housing list is coming sometime soon
- Activity Checks are posted every month on the 7th and the 22nd
- if you fail activity without being on hiatus or contacting a mod you receive a strike
- three strikes and you're out
- if you have zero activity for any given AC it counts as two strikes
